Dura-Tech® Rubber & Chain Adjustable Cross Tie

This cross tie combines a rubber section with an adjustable chain, making it ideal for horses that chew or play. The rubber is durable and horses typically don't like chewing on the metal components, so many owners find they last much longer than traditional nylon ties that need frequent replacement.

Yes! One of the key features is that you can convert it to a trailer tie by simply removing the chain section using the quick link hardware. This makes it a versatile 2-in-1 option for both stall use and hauling.

The Dura-Tech cross tie adjusts from 33 inches to 75 inches by removing sections of the chain. This wide range accommodates most standard aisle widths and different tie locations, making it adaptable for home use, barns, shows, or trailers.

Yes, there's a panic snap on one end that allows for quick and easy release in emergencies. This safety feature gives you peace of mind should your horse become scared or startled while tied.

Both the rubber and chain sections are strength-tested to 1200 lbs, so they're built to handle even strong horses. Customers report that these ties are virtually indestructible compared to standard nylon options.

If your horse chews or plays with ties, this rubber and chain option often pays for itself within one or two tie replacements. Unlike nylon ties that need constant replacement, many owners find the Dura-Tech version lasts significantly longer because horses don't damage the rubber the way they damage fabric.

Absolutely—customers have successfully used this tie on hot walkers and report excellent performance. The adjustable design and durable construction make it well-suited for mechanical horse walkers and similar equipment.

The quick links allow you to easily adjust chain length and convert the tie between cross tie and trailer tie configurations. One customer did note that horses can potentially unscrew the links, so you may want to periodically check that they're secure, especially if your horse is particularly clever about manipulating hardware.
