V-Free® Wither Relief Fit Guide Designed with our V-Free® Wither Relief fit, this sheet is well suited for horses with a naturally sloped shoulder, moderately defined shorter wither, strong topline from wither to croup, and shorter coupled, well-muscled build. These Big Fella sizes are cut 2" broader in the shoulders and 3–4" deeper on the sides than a regular blanket of the same size. Measure chest to tail, along the side of the body across the widest part of the shoulder and hindquarters. If you land between sizes, size up — a snug fit causes pinching and rubs. With no insulation, this waterproof turnout sheet is designed to keep your horse dry and protected from the wind and rain on wet days. Keeping your horse dry prevents chills from unpredicted drops in temperature, and provides protection from the moist conditions that cause skin infections like rain rot. Use our turnout sheets in any temperature to keep your horse dry, or if your horse is body-clipped or has a very short, thin coat, choose our turnout sheets for temperatures between 50 - 65 degrees F.

"I have been so happy with this sheet. I have a big solid quarter horse mare who has a big sloped shoulder and big chest my vet and trainer are both describe her as a “bulldog”! Standard blankets and sheets rub on her withers and shoulders and seem to restrict her movement, I bought the fit for sloped shoulders and these have fit her so well and she has no rubs and moves very comfortably. So far I’ve been very happy with the durability and how easy they are to clean! The only thing I’m not a fan of are the snaps on the chest and the snaps to connect the next rug, but those can both be switched out."

"I have a hard time finding turnout sheets that fit my draft horses properly, so I was thrilled to find the ARMORFlex® Challenger II! The fit is just right, and the wither relief design is a great feature. Finding a blanket made specifically for drafts that fits well is not easy, but this one was clearly designed with them in mind. The best part is how incredibly tough this sheet is! My two drafts love to play rough with each other, and this blanket has been rolled in, rubbed on, and even bitten, yet it is still in one piece with no rips! I am really impressed with how well it has held up to their roughhousing. If you have draft horses and need a well-fitting, durable turnout sheet, I highly recommend this one!"
