"The height is perfect for 17hh+ horses, particularly during dismount, which was the main purpose of the purchase. The height is a bit awkward at first (it's tall!); however, you get used to mounting, at level, with your horse. Overall, exactly what was needed and highly useful for those extra tall horses."
"Well-made, and a great height for my warm blood. A couple of the screws were difficult to reach, but it all worked out."
"I have a 17. 1 warmblood and I am 5’2” and this 4 step alievates the extreme stretch I had to perform in order to mount him from a three step mounting block. My taller trainer also uses it. It will save yours and your horses back!"
"I'm 70 years old and mounting my 15+ hand gelding was getting harder from my 3 step block. The 4 step makes it easier getting on and off. I ordered the blue color and I love it. And I don't have to worry if it sits out in the weather since its high density plastic, not wood."
"I have a knee injury and need more height to mount. Good height for my mare who is 16. 1, I barely need to use my left stirrup at all."
"A couple of things that keep me from giving this five stars and from saying it’s “great!” are the handle placement and material quality. The handle to move it anywhere is on the front, which makes it really inconvenient. All of the mounting blocks I’ve purchased in the past have had handles on the back, making them easy to grab and drag or lift by wrapping your hand around the backside of the top step. But with this mounting block, that's not the case. It’s very cumbersome to move, especially since it’s not lightweight, so you can’t just lift it and carry it around easily. My second issue is that the plastic feels a bit cheaper—less sturdy—than the resin polymer used in the other two I own. It might be thinner, but it still seems like it’s not as durable."
"I have a beautiful Quarter Horse/Percheron cross that I absolutely cannot climb up on from the ground! I purchased this mounting block because I was tired of mounting him from a picnic table! This mounting block makes getting on my big horse so much easier for this 70 year old woman!!"
"Great mounting block"
"You might say - who needs 4 steps? And laugh! But after my hip surgery it is difficult to get my right surgical leg over the saddle. This 4 step allows me to continue to ride. Yeah!"
